Himalayas, Sikkim – 2026
In March 2026, world-class kayaker Nouria Newman and her team head deep into the Sikkim Himalayas to attempt the first descent of the unexplored Umaram River.
To reach it, they must haul kayaks over the 5,400-meter Simvu Saddle, cross glaciers and moraines, then drop into a canyon so steep and jungle-choked that even satellite maps distort its shape. No fixed ropes. No heavy expedition style. Fast, light, committed.
The project will become a feature-length documentary in association with Red Bull Media House .
