Tactical Foodpack is a proud partner of the Red Bull X-Alps Challenger 2026, a brand-new event connected to the world’s toughest adventure race.
The race takes place May 28–31, 2026 in Mayrhofen, Austria, where athletes from around the world will take on a demanding three-day hike-and-fly adventure race across the spectacular terrain of the Zillertal Alps. Competitors move through the mountains by running, hiking and flying with paragliders, navigating turnpoints high in the Alps while carrying everything they need with them.
For Tactical Foodpack this partnership marks an important milestone. It is the first time in our history that we sponsor an event like this. Which is slightly surprising. Because if there is one type of sport that perfectly matches Tactical Foodpack, it is exactly this one.

A new platform for adventure athletes
The Red Bull X-Alps Challenger was created to test, inspire and prepare new adventure athletes for the sport.
The race introduces a condensed three-day format that captures the essence of the main Red Bull X-Alps event while remaining accessible to new competitors.
Athletes will navigate the alpine terrain around Mayrhofen by foot and paraglider, combining endurance, strategy and flying skill.
The event also promotes equal opportunities with separate rankings for men and women, helping grow the sport and showcase new talent from around the world.
Real energy for the ultimate test of body and mind
Red Bull X-Alps is known as the ultimate test of body and mind.
Athletes move through the mountains for long days, climbing thousands of meters, running alpine trails and flying between peaks. Energy consumption can reach several thousand calories per day. At the same time every gram carried on the back matters. Food therefore becomes part of the strategy.
Three things matter most:
High and long-lasting energy
Lightweight
Simple preparation
Tactical Foodpack meals are built exactly for that. But there is one more thing we care deeply about: taste. Good food is not a luxury in the mountains. When you are pushing your limits, it is motivation.
A Tactical Foodpack freeze dried meal weighs only about 100–120 grams before preparation, yet becomes a full outdoor meal once hot water is added. It can be eaten directly from the pouch with no cooking equipment required.
For athletes moving across the Alps with minimal gear, that efficiency makes a real difference.
